Anti-Christian Movies

In a previous post I talked about some movies that would on the surface seem truly horrible. These are movies with a hard R rating that have a lot of sex, violence, and vulgarity. However, when you consider them more objectively, they show to have some really Christian themes. Conversely there are some that appear quite pedestrian in their subject matter, language and presentation, but when you look at them more deeply, they are really Anti-Christian in their themes and concepts.

Among these surprisingly enough are the Star Wars movies. I know that shocks some people but think about it. Where is God in these films? He doesn’t exist in them. The closest they come is “The Force,” but that is an impersonal entity that is tied to the universe rather than transcending it. It is really no different than gravity or electromagnetism. You can’t have a relationship with it, you can’t pray to it, and it cares nothing about you. It is not really good in its own right but is dark or light depending on how you approach it. Moreover, you can connect to it only through feeling. You can’t understand it and it can’t reveal itself to you. You can only sense it on an emotional level, which can easily be manipulated. Just as Palpatine did to Anakin. Worse still there is nothing in “the Force’ to guide you towards goodness. After all it is only light or dark and only what is inside yourself determines which is the best to follow. There is nothing that objectively tells you which way is the correct.

Another is the movie Men in Black II. In this movie the character J finds a locker in Grand Central Terminal that is actually a doorway to a world of small aliens who worship him and K as gods. Additionally, the main plot is for K and J to find “the Light of Zartha,” which, come to find out is a girl. Since Jesus is the light of our world who came to us from a godly realm, and since she is going to another world from us that means our world is a godly realm. When you couple this with J’s earlier find at Grand Central you kind of conclude that the movie is subconsciously saying we’re all gods. Also consider the final scene where K kicks open a door to show that our world is a locker in a larger alien train station. Suggesting that our God is nothing more than a larger space alien. A little blasphemous wouldn’t you say.

This is only a sample but there are a lot of movies that seem alright surface, but when you contemplate them they push unchristian concepts. Worst of all, many of these movies are aimed at children. For a deeper dive, check out Taylor Alesia’s video.
